At the edge of the Corte Madera Creek, an asphalt parking lot is transformed into a children's learning environment. The play-yard incorporates traditional equipment with a custom concrete sandbox and raised boardwalk overlooking the marsh. Different ways of moving are encouraged by a tricycle track and labyrinth. A secret garden with flowering trees, stepping stone, natural boulders, and smooth curving raised beds invite the preschool-aged children to explore. The grounds feature low water use plantings, and a raingarden to treat stormwater runoff.
