Mountain House - Bill Tatham 7411

1/9
Mountain House Community Park
Near the Altamont Pass, this 15-acre community park is designed with the strong prevailing winds in mind. A raised and densely planted windbreak stretches along its eastern edge. Soft grasses move with the wind while columnar cypress and multi-branching crape myrtle stand strong against it. Palm trees from a homestead on the site were reused as focal points. A baseball diamond, basketball court, tennis courts, bocce courts, and two separate playgrounds branch off a wide, tree-lined path. An expansive zero-depth splash pad anchors the northern end of the park.
